NSLI-Y Alumni Association

The NSLI-Y Alumni Association invites past participants of NSLI-Y to engage with each other and build upon their enthusiasm for foreign languages and cultures. The association supports NSLI-Y alumni, from the program’s inception in 2006 through the present, by fostering a strong network and providing resources for continued development. The association is led by NSLI-Y Alumni Representatives who are responsible for engaging alumni in their respective regions across the United States in events and opportunities pertaining to continued language learning, professional development, networking, and community service. The association is intended to serve and support all NSLI-Y alumni.

2016 NSLI-Y Alumni Representatives

The NSLI-Y Alumni Association is led by NSLI-Y Alumni Representatives who are responsible for engaging alumni in their respective regions across the United States in events and opportunities pertaining to “learn, grow, connect, and serve.” Since the association's inception, alumni have attended dozens of events organized by Alumni Representatives across the U.S., including guest speaker events, career panels, speed-networking, service projects, language scholarship roundtables, and association visioning sessions.

“My involvement in the NSLI-Y Alumni Association has connected me with people across the country with similar goals and aspirations, and to young networks that will continue to grow over time and become invaluable from a professional standpoint.” - Nathan, NSLI-Y Chinese Academic Year, 2011-12
